Gunter Blobel is John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Professor at The Rockefeller University in New York City. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1999. Gunter Blobel received his M.D. from the University of Tubingen in Germany and continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin, where he earned his Ph.D. in oncology. He has served as the President of the American Society for Cell Biology and is a member of the National Academy of Sciences. |
