Chromocell®, founded in 2002, is a life sciences company which improves consumer products and patient lives through breakthrough science and technologies. We are focused on the discovery and development of flavors and nutritional ingredients, and therapeutics through our pioneering Chromovert® technology. Chromovert® enables us to use naturally occurring cells and receptors in high performance discovery platforms.
In our flavors and nutrition business, Chromocell works with global consumer goods companies to discover and develop flavor ingredients and natural taste enhancers. We are active in all areas of taste sensations as well as aroma and fragrance enhancer discovery.
Our work in therapeutics is concentrated on analgesics and the treatment of respiratory disorders where Chromovert technology has proven highly effective in the rapid identification of potential new drug candidates. These compounds are now being tested and optimized in preclinical development studies.
Chromocell’s headquarters are in 27,000 square-feet of modern laboratory and office space in North Brunswick, N.J. We have built an outstanding team of highly qualified and dedicated people, currently consisting of about 100 scientists, management and support staff.
