Donald W. Landry, M.D., Ph.D.
Donald W. Landry, M.D., Ph.D is Professor of Medicine at Columbia University, Director of the Division of Experimental Therapeutics and Chairman of the Department of Medicine. Dr. Landry completed his Ph.D. in organic chemistry under Nobel laureate Robert Burns Woodward at Harvard University in 1979 and then obtained the M.D. degree from Columbia University in 1983. In 1991, he established his laboratory at Columbia University to investigate medical applications of artificial enzymes and founded the Division of Experimental Therapeutics in 1998. The Division focuses on novel therapeutics for intractable problems such as cocaine addiction, nerve gas intoxication and vasodilatory shock. He directs the Organic Chemistry Collaborative Center, a drug discovery unit within the Division. |
