Overview Chromocell was founded in 2003 to commercialize the Chromovert technology invented by Kambiz Shekdar and Nobel laureate Gunter Blobel at The Rockefeller University. The company is focused on several drug discovery programs in pain relief, anxiety treatment and respiratory disorders, accessing high value targets that were out of reach to date. Chromocell is also engaged in research and development for Chromovert technology applications in cell therapy, stem cells and other fields, collaborating in these efforts with several leading research institutions. Chromocell has issued patents on the technology, numerous pending applications and is continuously submitting new applications. Located in North Brunswick, New Jersey, the company occupies state of the art lab and office space in the Technology Center of New Jersey. Chromocell has built an outstanding team of highly qualified and dedicated people. Ninety percent of our staff are scientists; one in four having Ph.D. degrees.
